Media

What happens to the images you upload. Videos are always deleted after posting.

Your images are saved so you can reuse them in future posts without re-uploading. To keep them, we host them on a public CDN — the image file is reachable by anyone with its link (this is how Facebook, Instagram and the others fetch it to post). Only choose this for images you are fine being public. Videos are never kept this way.
Your image is used to publish the post, then removed from our storage. It is not kept and cannot be reused.

Required when realistic content was made or altered with AI. YouTube shows a disclosure label on the video — see Disclosing altered or synthetic content.
